YOUR WARRANTY

What's Covered

The warranty applies to genuine defects in materials, workmanship or construction that become apparent during the warranty period and are confirmed by our assessment.

01

Manufacturing Defects

Structural issues that are determined to have resulted from the way the jewelry was manufactured rather than from wear, impact or misuse.

02

Setting & Construction

Qualifying issues with prongs, settings, joins or other structural components when our assessment confirms a workmanship problem.

03

Stone Security

A loose or displaced stone may be covered where the cause is confirmed as a manufacturing or setting defect rather than impact or normal wear.

04

Finishing Issues

Significant finishing defects present as a result of production may qualify. Normal surface marks and changes from everyday wear are excluded.

EXCLUSIONS

What's Not Covered

Fine jewelry naturally changes with wear. The warranty is not an insurance policy and does not cover damage or loss caused by everyday use, accidents or outside alteration.

01

Normal Wear & Tear

Scratches, small dents, surface marks, gradual finish changes and general wear that develops through normal use.

02

Accidental Damage

Damage caused by impact, crushing, bending, dropping, catching, heavy lifting, sport or other accidental force.

03

Lost or Stolen Jewelry

The warranty does not provide insurance against loss, theft or disappearance of the jewelry.

04

Stone Loss From Damage

Stone loss caused by impact, a bent or worn setting, misuse or continuing to wear jewelry after visible damage is not covered.

05

Improper Care or Chemicals

Damage resulting from harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning, unsuitable cleaning equipment or care inconsistent with our guidance.

06

Third-Party Alteration

Damage associated with resizing, repair, polishing, setting or alteration performed by another jeweler may fall outside this warranty.

07

Incorrect Ring Size

Selecting the wrong size is not a manufacturing defect. Resizing availability depends on the design and may be chargeable.

08

Changes in Personal Preference

The warranty does not cover a change of mind about design, dimensions, diamond specifications or other approved custom details.

AFTER ASSESSMENT

What Happens Next?

01

Qualifying Warranty Issue

If we confirm a covered manufacturing or craftsmanship defect, we will arrange an appropriate remedy.

02

Repairable Wear or Damage

If the issue falls outside warranty but can reasonably be repaired, we may be able to offer a paid repair quotation.

03

Further Information Needed

Some cases require physical inspection before the cause can be confirmed. We will explain any return or assessment steps first.

AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD

Jewelry Can Still Be Cared For

Fine jewelry may need maintenance over time, especially when worn every day. If your warranty period has ended, you can still contact us for advice.

Where possible, we may be able to assess repairs, resetting, refinishing or other aftercare services and provide a quotation before work begins.

WARRANTY FAQ

Good to Know

When does the 1-year warranty begin?
The Efi & Co warranty period begins from the date your order is delivered.
Does the warranty cover a lost diamond?
Stone loss is not automatically covered. We need to assess the jewelry and determine why the stone was lost. A loss caused by a confirmed manufacturing or setting defect may qualify, while loss caused by impact, wear or damage does not.
Are scratches on 18K gold covered?
Fine gold naturally develops surface marks through normal wear. Ordinary scratches, small dents and gradual finish changes are considered wear and are not manufacturing defects.
Does resizing count as a warranty claim?
Choosing an incorrect size is not a warranty issue. Some rings can be resized for an additional charge, while certain settings have limited resizing options. Contact us before arranging alteration elsewhere.
Will another jeweler's repair affect my warranty?
Third-party repair, resizing, polishing, setting or alteration can make it difficult to determine the original cause of a problem. Issues resulting from or associated with outside alteration may not be covered by this warranty.
Do I need to send the ring back immediately?
No. Contact us first with your order number, description and photographs. We will tell you whether a physical inspection is required and provide return instructions where appropriate.
Who pays return shipping for a warranty assessment?
Return arrangements depend on the nature of the issue, your location and the assessment required. Contact us first and we will confirm the appropriate return method before you send the jewelry.
Can I get help after the warranty ends?
Yes. Contact us and we can advise whether a paid repair or other aftercare service may be available for your piece.
