How Bespoke Works

From an idea to something entirely yours

A bespoke piece of jewellery begins with something personal — an idea, a photograph, a stone you love, a piece you have always imagined, or simply a feeling you would like us to translate into jewellery.

At Efi & Co, our bespoke service is a collaborative process. We guide you through each stage, from the first conversation and gemstone selection to CAD design, craftsmanship and final delivery.

You do not need to arrive with a finished design. A few references, a rough idea or even a description of what you love is enough for us to begin.

1. Share Your Idea

Start by telling us what you have in mind.

You can submit our Bespoke Enquiry Form, contact us through WhatsApp, or email us at info@efidiamond.com.

You may share as much or as little information as you have, including:

• Reference images or sketches
• The type of jewellery you would like to create
• Preferred diamond or gemstone
• Metal preference
• Approximate size or carat weight
• Your budget
• Target completion date
• Details or personal elements you would like incorporated

If you are unsure about any of these, that is completely fine. We can guide you.

2. Consultation & Design Brief

We review your enquiry and discuss the piece with you in more detail.

This is where we clarify proportion, style, materials, practicality and budget. For rings, we may also discuss stone shape, setting style, finger size and how the piece should feel when worn.

If your design requires a centre diamond or gemstone, we can also source suitable options based on your preferred specifications and budget.

Our role at this stage is not simply to reproduce a reference image, but to understand what you like about it and develop a piece that feels distinctly yours.

3. Quotation & Stone Selection

Once we understand the design direction, we will prepare a quotation outlining the expected cost of your bespoke piece.

Where a specific diamond or gemstone is required, we can present suitable stone options before the project is confirmed.

Your quotation may include:

• Diamond or gemstone
• Precious metal
• Design and CAD development
• Setting and craftsmanship
• Engraving or other personalised details
• Any additional specialist work

If the design changes substantially during development, we will always discuss any effect on price with you before proceeding.

4. Secure Your Commission

When you are ready to proceed, a deposit confirms your bespoke commission and allows our design team to begin detailed development.

Where a particular diamond or gemstone has been selected, payment may also be required to secure the stone so that it is no longer available to another buyer.

Your project is then officially underway.

5. CAD Design & Rendering

Our designers translate the approved concept into a detailed 3D CAD model.

This allows you to review the proportions and construction of your jewellery before it is made.

Depending on the piece, we may provide:

• CAD views from several angles
• Detailed dimensions
• Stone placement
• Metal and setting details
• Photorealistic renderings

This is an important stage because jewellery often looks different in three dimensions than it does in a sketch or inspiration photograph.

We refine the design with you until the proportions and details are right.

6. Your Final Approval

Nothing enters production until you approve the final design.

We ask you to carefully review the CAD, dimensions, stone specifications, metal and any engraving or personalisation.

Once your approval is received, the design is considered final and we prepare it for production.

Because bespoke jewellery is individually made, major design changes after this point may require additional time or cost.

7. Final Payment & Craftsmanship

Following final design approval, the remaining balance is settled and your piece moves into production.

Depending on the design, this may involve:

• Precision casting
• Hand-finishing
• Diamond and gemstone setting
• Polishing
• Engraving
• Final assembly

Each piece is individually finished rather than taken from ready-made stock.

Throughout production, our focus is on translating the approved design into a beautifully proportioned, wearable piece made to be kept for years to come.

8. Final Quality Check

Before your jewellery leaves us, it undergoes a final inspection.

We check the overall finish, stone setting, proportions, engraving and other design details against the approved specification.

For diamond jewellery, we also check that the selected stone and setting correspond with the final order.

Only once the piece passes our quality review is it prepared for delivery.

9. Secure & Insured Delivery

Your finished jewellery is carefully packaged and dispatched using a secure, tracked delivery service.

Where available, high-value orders are shipped with appropriate insurance and signature confirmation.

Tracking information is provided once your piece has been dispatched.

For clients who prefer to collect in person, collection may also be arranged by appointment where available.

How Long Does Bespoke Jewellery Take?

Every commission is different.

The timeline depends on the complexity of the design, stone sourcing, the number of design revisions and the craftsmanship required.

We will provide an estimated timeline before you commit to the project and will let you know if you have a particular proposal, wedding, anniversary or gifting date we need to work towards.

For time-sensitive commissions, we recommend contacting us as early as possible.

Do I Need to Know Exactly What I Want?

Not at all.

Some clients arrive with a complete concept. Others begin with nothing more than a favourite diamond shape, a photograph, an heirloom reference or a general style they love.

Our job is to help turn those ideas into a design that works beautifully as jewellery.

Can I Choose My Own Diamond?

Yes.

We can source lab-grown and natural diamonds across a wide range of shapes, sizes and specifications and help you compare suitable options according to your design and budget.

If you already own a diamond or gemstone that you would like incorporated into a new piece, contact us with its details so that we can assess whether it is suitable for the proposed design.
